How it works
The rotate and flip tool applies FFmpeg pixel transforms locally in the browser. A 90-degree or 270-degree turn swaps width and height; 0 and 180 degrees retain the original dimensions. Because the transform is applied to the video frames, it can fix sideways phone footage or create a mirrored video that remains corrected when opened in another player. MP4, MOV, WebM, and source-format output are available.
A portrait phone recording was saved sideways at 1920 x 1080. Selecting 90 degrees clockwise produces a 1080 x 1920 output instead of squeezing the landscape frame into a portrait box. Selecting Horizontal flip mirrors the picture without changing its dimensions; rotation and flipping can be combined when a front-facing camera or an incorrectly mounted camera needs both corrections.
