How it works

Video Looper: methodology and worked example

How this tool computes its result

The looper uses browser-only FFmpeg to repeat the source two to five times in one finite output. The exported duration is approximately the source duration multiplied by the selected play count, while the original width and height remain unchanged. You can keep the source container or choose MP4, MOV, or WebM.

Worked example

A 6-second product animation set to 3 plays exports as an approximately 18-second video with three consecutive copies. The frame dimensions remain unchanged, making the result suitable for a presentation, kiosk, landing-page asset, or a social post that needs a repeated action. If you only need endless playback on a webpage, use the HTML video loop attribute instead of generating a larger file.

When not to use this tool

Do not use this for a seamless boomerang, crossfade, or infinite loop that must hide a visible join. The tool repeats the source from its beginning and does not blend the last and first frames. For longer repetition counts, seamless transitions, or many source clips, use a timeline editor or a scripted media pipeline.

Common mistakes

  • - Confusing a finite repeated export with infinite playback. The downloaded file contains the selected two-to-five plays only.
  • - Looping a clip with a long fade-out or silence at the end and expecting the join to feel seamless. Trim the lead-in or tail first when needed.
  • - Forgetting that a five-play export takes roughly five times the source duration to render in the browser.
