Information Collected Automatically
In brief: Some technical data is collected automatically when you use our Services.
When you access or use our Services, we automatically collect certain information that does not directly identify you. This may include your IP address, browser type, device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, approximate location, and details about how and when you use the Services.
This information is used to ensure the security and proper functioning of our Services, as well as for internal analytics and reporting.
We also use cookies and similar tracking technologies to improve performance and user experience.

2. HOW DO WE PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?
In brief: We process personal information to deliver, maintain, improve, and secure our Services, communicate with users, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
We only process personal information when a valid legal basis applies. In certain cases, we may process information with your explicit consent.
3. WHAT LEGAL BASES DO WE RELY ON?
We process personal information based on applicable legal grounds, which may include your consent, performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, or our legitimate business interests.
4. WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE PERSONAL INFORMATION?
We may share personal information in limited circumstances, such as with service providers that assist in operating our Services (for example, cloud hosting, database, email delivery, error monitoring, and payment processing providers), complying with legal requirements, or protecting our rights. The current list of these service providers, and the safeguards that apply to them, is published on our Sub-processors page and our Data Processing Agreement. Where a service provider is located outside the European Economic Area, transfers are made subject to appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. DO WE USE COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES?
Yes. We use cookies and similar technologies to analyze usage, improve functionality, and enhance user experience.
6. DO WE OFFER ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE-BASED SERVICES?
Yes. Our Services rely on artificial intelligence and automated systems to monitor brand activity and detect potential risks. AI-generated insights are used solely to support our services and are not used to make legally binding decisions about individuals.
7. HOW DO WE HANDLE SOCIAL LOGINS?
If you register or log in using a third-party social media account, we may receive certain information from that provider as permitted by your privacy settings.
8. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. In general:
- Account and profile data is retained for as long as you maintain an account with us, and for a limited period afterward to allow for account recovery and to meet legal/accounting obligations.
- Newsletter subscription data is retained until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. We may retain a minimal suppression record so that we can respect your opt-out request.
- Log and usage data is retained for a limited period sufficient for security monitoring and troubleshooting, then deleted or aggregated.
- Billing records are retained for the period required by applicable tax and accounting law.
You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information at any time; see "What Are Your Privacy Rights?" below.
9. DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?
Our Services are not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
10. WHAT ARE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS?
Depending on your jurisdiction, and in particular if you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have the following rights under the GDPR / UK GDPR:
- Right of access — to obtain confirmation of, and a copy of, the personal information we hold about you.
- Right to rectification — to have inaccurate or incomplete personal information corrected.
- Right to erasure — to have your personal information deleted, subject to legal exceptions.
- Right to restriction of processing — to limit how we use your personal information in certain circumstances.
- Right to data portability — to receive your personal information in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
- Right to object — to object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
- Right to withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
- Right to lodge a complaint — with your local data protection supervisory authority. For the Netherlands, this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at admin@brandarmor.ai. We will respond within one month, as required by applicable law.
11. DO-NOT-TRACK CONTROLS
At this time, we do not respond to Do-Not-Track browser signals, as no uniform standard has been adopted.
12. PRIVACY RIGHTS FOR UNITED STATES RESIDENTS
If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, or another U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law, you have rights described below in addition to those in "What Are Your Privacy Rights?" above.
Categories of personal information we collect, mapped to the categories used in the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA):
- Identifiers — name, email address, IP address, account username.
- Customer records — billing name and address (processed by Stripe on our behalf).
- Commercial information — subscription plan, billing history.
- Internet or network activity — pages viewed, features used, log and usage data described above.
We collect these categories directly from you, automatically through your use of the Services, and, where you connect a third-party account, from that provider (see "Google API Data" above). We use them for the purposes described in "How Do We Process Your Information?" above.
We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we have not done so in the preceding 12 months. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes requiring an opt-out right. Because we do not sell personal information, the opt-out-of-sale right does not apply, and our handling of minors' data under age 16 for "sale" purposes is not applicable.
Your rights include:
- Right to know/access — the specific pieces and categories of personal information we hold about you.
- Right to delete — your personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
- Right to correct — inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out — of the sale or sharing of personal information (not applicable today, as described above, but you may still submit a request).
- Right to non-discrimination — for exercising any of these rights.
- Right to appeal — a denied request, in states that provide for it.
How to submit a request: email admin@brandarmor.ai from the email address on your account (or, if you use an authorized agent, provide written proof of the agent's authority). We will verify your identity using the information already associated with your account before responding.
We will respond within 45 days of receiving a verifiable request. If we need more time, we will notify you and may extend that period by up to another 45 days, as permitted by applicable law.
13. INTERNATIONAL USERS (INCLUDING APAC)
The Services are operated from the Netherlands and available internationally. If you access the Services from outside the EEA, UK, or United States, your personal information may still be processed as described in this Privacy Policy, including by sub-processors located outside your country (see our Sub-processors page).
This includes, where applicable to you, personal data laws such as Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), Australia's Privacy Act 1988 (including the Australian Privacy Principles), and Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI). We handle requests to access, correct, or delete your personal information under those laws the same way described in "What Are Your Privacy Rights?" above — contact us at admin@brandarmor.ai and we will respond within the timeframe your local law requires. Nothing in this Privacy Policy limits any right you have under your local law that cannot lawfully be waived.
14. DO WE UPDATE THIS POLICY?
Yes. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by a revised "Last updated" date.
15. HOW CAN YOU CONTACT US?
If you have questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy, you may contact us at:
Email: admin@brandarmor.ai
16. HOW CAN YOU REVIEW, UPDATE, OR DELETE YOUR DATA?
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us using the details above. Requests will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
